I have had this book on my "to-read" list for a while and finally got around to reading it. I wasn’t expecting much, but I ended up enjoying it a lot. It is romantic with a kick of action and it is very mysterious. Jeff Giles tells the story of what happens when two worlds collide in a way that is both interesting and gripping. Zoe struggles as her world comes tumbling down. Her father’s body lies at the bottom of a dark cave and the police don’t even care. Her little brother cries every night for his dad who will never come home. Just as things seem to be getting worse, a light shines out of the darkness.  She called him X. I was super excited when I made this knot pillow and it actually worked really well. I began copying a tutorial by HGTV then decided to change the knot a bit to make it how I wanted. I made my knot cushion in a way that meant I had no loose ends, spare ends or loose safety pins and two good sides.  Things you will need are: Two pairs of tights (any size) Thread (the same colour as your tights) Needle Safety pins Stuffing (you need a fair amount for this) Step 1: Cut the legs off both pairs of tights Step 2: Stuff them loosely to the brim Step 3: Safety pin the open end of each tight leg together Step 4: Spread the tights out so that it looks like a plus sign and complete the beginnings of a “good luck” knot (I have included the photos of how to do it here) Make sure you tighten the knot once you are done. A book of love, sadness and hope, Lost and Found is a very emotional story. Although the plot involves no fast paced action or gripping scenes, I did manage to read the whole thing in one afternoon (partially because it was a good book and partially because I had four hours to kill). Lost and Found is a truly adorable novel that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy at the end while providing you with a simple, easy but deep read. Millie Bird is seven years old when she realises that everything around her is dying. She begins to record every dead thing she sees and it isn't until she gets to twenty seven that her dad becomes a dead thing too. Agatha Pantha is eighty two and since her husband died, she has not left her house. This year I have decided to get back into my bible devotions every day. In the past I have written out passages from my bible that I have found significant, but this time I wanted to delve a little deeper. I researched several ideas from Pinterest, but found that I had to tailor my own study to fit into my mindset and schedule. Here is what I came up with: Since I never have time in the mornings, I decided that my bible time would have to happen after school and homework. Then I had to choose whether to use a resource such as a devotional book or to make it up for myself. I didn’t have any devotion books at the time that fitted the time frame I wanted so I went along and made up my own study which I will explain to you now. I simply pick a book of the bible that I find interesting and want to learn about (the book I chose to do first was Exodus). Then for each day I write the date and chapter of the book I will cover. I am quite confused about what to write in this review. As much as I enjoy poetry, I just don’t think that Rupi Kaur’s style of poetry is the sort that I love. I admire how much she breaks the boundaries that poems have been trapped inside and the brave topics she covers, overall it was a very unique book to read. I hate to be picky, but I do prefer a poem that rhymes and Rupi Kaur’s don’t and they seem to delve into lots of different topics and it can be hard to track what they are meaning.  I really enjoyed the pictures on most pages which are very simple yet they reflect the words within the poems. This was the first actual book of poetry that I have read and it has made me want to read other poetry books to discover how other writers interpret the idea of a ‘poem’. I think that there is a quite specific audience that would love this type of book and I applaud Rupi Kaur for shamelessly expressing herself for others to enjoy. I was inspired to read this book partially because of the beautiful front cover and partially because I was in need of a cute story about two people falling in love in a bookstore. I loved this book a lot simply because of all of the topics it covered and all of the emotions that the characters felt. This was a beautiful read and made me want to read more books! Rachel moved away from her best friend and familiar city to a small town by the sea, but that’s where everything fell apart. She used to love swimming, she used to love science and maths and she used to love Henry. Then her brother Cal, drowned in the shallows of the beach and Rachel’s family was torn apart, along with her heart. She failed Year 12 and decided to return to the city where she grew up.
