This year I have decided to get back into my bible devotions every day. In the past I have written out passages from my bible that I have found significant, but this time I wanted to delve a little deeper. I researched several ideas from Pinterest, but found that I had to tailor my own study to fit into my mindset and schedule. Here is what I came up with: Since I never have time in the mornings, I decided that my bible time would have to happen after school and homework. Then I had to choose whether to use a resource such as a devotional book or to make it up for myself. I didn’t have any devotion books at the time that fitted the time frame I wanted so I went along and made up my own study which I will explain to you now. I simply pick a book of the bible that I find interesting and want to learn about (the book I chose to do first was Exodus). Then for each day I write the date and chapter of the book I will cover. I am quite confused about what to write in this review. As much as I enjoy poetry, I just don’t think that Rupi Kaur’s style of poetry is the sort that I love. I admire how much she breaks the boundaries that poems have been trapped inside and the brave topics she covers, overall it was a very unique book to read. I hate to be picky, but I do prefer a poem that rhymes and Rupi Kaur’s don’t and they seem to delve into lots of different topics and it can be hard to track what they are meaning.  I really enjoyed the pictures on most pages which are very simple yet they reflect the words within the poems. This was the first actual book of poetry that I have read and it has made me want to read other poetry books to discover how other writers interpret the idea of a ‘poem’. I think that there is a quite specific audience that would love this type of book and I applaud Rupi Kaur for shamelessly expressing herself for others to enjoy. I was inspired to read this book partially because of the beautiful front cover and partially because I was in need of a cute story about two people falling in love in a bookstore. I loved this book a lot simply because of all of the topics it covered and all of the emotions that the characters felt. This was a beautiful read and made me want to read more books! Rachel moved away from her best friend and familiar city to a small town by the sea, but that’s where everything fell apart. She used to love swimming, she used to love science and maths and she used to love Henry. Of course, you have to see the Colosseum which is an iconic ruin of a stadium used for bullfights almost 2000 years ago. Also after you have been inside the Colosseum, there is an extra ticket that you can get that gains you entry into the Roman Forum. I have a crafty activity for you in this post which is also related to books. In a previous post I have shown you how to make corner book marks, but now I have a new cute bookmark idea for you to try. All you will need is some wool in your chosen colour, a pair of scissors and your crafty little hands. Step 1: Set aside two lengths of wool, one around 20cm long and the other around 30cm. Step 2: Wrap the wool around two or three of your fingers loosely. Do this for about 2.5m of wool or until the loop is nice and thick. Step 3: Carefully take the wool off your fingers making sure that the loops of wool stay in place. Step 4: Take the shorter piece of wool you cut earlier and tie it around the middle of the pile of wool in your hand, pull it as tight as you can before tying it in a stable knot Step 5:  Cut between the loops on each end of the wool making sure not to cut the middle piece that is tying it all together. ...
