Off the Page by Jody Picoult and Samantha Van Leer- Book review

I just finished reading Off the Page by Jody Picoult and I loved it and totally recommend it to all lovers of romance and happy endings. It continues on from Between the Lines and although you could read either by themselves, I highly recommend both since they compliment each other and I just can't get enough of this concept.

Off the Page begins when Delilah's prince that she's been waiting for, finally steps of the bus and falls into her arms. Oliver has to get used to high school and being a person that he's not. At first everything is perfect. But when the book begins to correct itself, Oliver isn't the only one outside the book. Soon reality hits Oliver and his friends in an accident that can't be undone. In life, you can't just go back to the first page and start again. Though worse comes to worst when Edgar swaps back with Oliver in the book and discovers that his mum has cancer. In order to save the original author of Between the Lines, they need one more swap. Will wishing be enough, and will anyone ever be satisfied with the life they have?

This sequel to Between the Lines is a fantastic follow on. Samantha Van Leer and Jody Picoult did a fantastic job on their second young adult fiction novel. It was so gripping and it had the same concept as Between the Lines and had a great writing style. The story has a happy ending after all of the unexpected turns.

I would suggest this book for 12-15 year olds. It is very romantic and it is from three different perspectives. Although I loved this book, I would recommend reading Between the Lines first. Also, the version of Off the Page that I bought has 15 gorgeous coloured pictures throughout the book and has coloured text too. I really like the prettiness of the book that just makes it come alive.

This gripping storyline inspires me and all of the twists in the plot makes me hungry for more. I hope that you will read this book and enjoy it because I definitely did. I also wrote a book report about the first book, Between the Lines: http://thepenandinkpot.blogspot.com.au/2016/03/between-lines-by-jodi-picoult-and.html

Thanks!
